Right to second/third menu
"Does this operation really have to be done - or is there perhaps an alternative?" Many patients ask themselves when a therapy measure is pending. In order to be on the safe side as to whether a therapeutic measure with antigen-presenting dendritic cells can also have a chance of therapeutic success, you should then hear a second expert opinion on it. For certain interventions that can be planned, this right to a second medical opinion is regulated in the Social Security Code (SGB V), but in the vast majority of cases there is no statutory procedure.
Right to Copies of Findings
Patients who plan to consult another specialist should ask the doctor treating them to provide them with copies of findings, reports and laboratory values. The doctor can charge for the cost of the copies.
